Amazon Is Changing Its FBA Barcode Requirements

Amazon has announced a major update to its Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) barcode policy. Starting March 31, 2026, Amazon will end commingling across its fulfillment network, which changes how products must be labeled before arriving at Amazon warehouses.

• Sellers who are not Brand Registry Brand Representatives must apply Amazon barcodes (FNSKU labels) to all FBA units.
• This requirement applies even if products already have manufacturer barcodes such as UPCs.

Products Without Manufacturer Barcodes

• Both brand owners and resellers must use Amazon barcode labels.

⚠️ Inventory sent without Amazon barcodes after the deadline may be processed as defective upon receipt.

Inventory already in Amazon fulfillment centers or currently in transit will not be affected.

Does This Affect Where You Buy Your Products?
